Dede Thomas My sister is a neighborhood watch for animals in need. There is always fisshy smells and liquid smoke smells around our doors. I appreciate the advice. We fear someone took her inside because she is so sweet.

My sister is a neighborhood watch. She traps for tnr, socialization and she fosters short term hold for several rescue ladies. I appreciate the advice. We fear someone took her inside because she is so sweet.

Elizabeth Javinsky she is indoor/outdoor. She has lived at this location since Jan 2011. This is the first time she hasn't come when called. She normally stays within a couple doors of home and is in and out like a 5 yr old.

If this cat is an indoor only, shy or timid cat he/she may be very scared and disoriented being outside. The best time to look for him/her is dusk to dawn because he/she may come out when it is dark and he/she feels safer. Go out calling your cat’s name name and talking, saying the things you would normally say to him/her when at home. Make sure to check in garages and sheds, underneath decks and grills and especially in window wells. Please make sure to go door to door with flyers with his/her picture and your phone number on them. Post on Nextdoor, call your local police and let your mail carrier and newspaper delivery person know! If he/she is scared he/she is likely close by. You might want to get a trail cam or Wyze camera to be able to monitor if he/she is coming near the house late at night. Make sure to check in window wells and several times between the hours of dusk and dawn. Set up a live trap that you can monitor as he/she is likely close. If you need tips on how to use one, there are many people in this group who can help. As a cat lover with two of my own, I know how desperate I would feel if one of them was missing. Please don’t give up hope!

8. Put out some highly aromatic canned food and also clothing or items with your scent. 9. Check at dusk, dawn and evening; keep calling your cat's name and talk to your cat saying things that you would normally say out loud at home. Searching on foot daily is very important as well. 10. Search and search again.. notify and talk to neighbors, starting out at a one block radius and working out further each time. 11. Let your local police department know. 12. Keep in mind that indoor only cats typically do not stray very far from home. 14. Let your mail carrier know specifically as they walk the area several days a week. Good luck and please keep us posted!
