MESSAGE FROM OWNER

This is Baby, still missing since March 4th, from Fresh Meadows Lane (zip-code 89108), cross streets Torrey Pines & Washington. He is a Domestic Long-Hair neutered male (may be Maine Coon mix), gray and black tabby markings, white tummy (not white paws), big bushy tail, and clipped right ear. He'll be 11-years-old in June. He is microchipped. Baby has been an indoor-only cat since I adopted him in December, 2019. This was the first time this shy, skittish cat ran out of the house. I have been so worried and scared, with all the dangers out there. I love him, miss him, and I'm heartbroken! I believe he has been seen (and is being given food and water) in a neighbor's garage, on Greyhawk Avenue, for weeks, at night. I don't know if he's sleeping there, and if not, someone may have seen him on that street, or on the street behind it. If you have seen Baby, or have information regarding his whereabouts, please contact me. Thank you! My name is Anita, at 702-878-8290.

DESCRIPTION

Maine Coon, bushy tail, one ear clipped, large, chubby, thick fur, mostly black, with some gray, 10 1/2 years old, indoor only hse cat, ran out 1:30 AM, first time ever since adopted 12/13/2019 Heart Alive Village (in Petsmart) I do not think he wandered past Fresh Meadows Lane, where we live. The cross streets are Washington & Torrey Pines, but I think he never left this cul-de-sac. May be hiding in someone's grge, bushes, or yard.

Here are some tips that may be helpful in locating your lost Kitty Hero. Indoor only cats and limited outdoor access cats and or litter box outside, it can attract predators and aggressive Tom cats. Because indoor only cats hide so well, they never go far they go into survival mode and hide in silence they will not always respond to This is the time they become most active and responsive. Place some dirty socks and pillowcases outside. Your scent will attract your kitty. If you have a garage place the items near the garage door and crack the door enough for her to get in. DO NOT leave food as likely to be ed by a predator. Don't give up, it can take weeks to find a missing indoor only cat. Use a flash light to see the glow of his eyes. Survival mode last 5 to 14 days. Once their hunger gets to a maximum, they snap out of it but this is a dangerous time because they come out of hiding. Make mini flyers and hand them out to your neighbors. Most people don't pay attention to posted flyers. It's VERY VERY important that you look for her as late at night as you can. If you have other cats, watch them. If they are spending a lot of time looking out a certain window, that’s a good indication the missing cat is in that area. Wildlife and motion activated cameras are also helpful. MY FRIENDS CAT WAS GONE FOR 3 WEEKS.
