Description

She’s a gray tiger cat, and I believe she is pregnant

Message from Finder

I found this cat and I believe she is pregnant. We have a cat so we cannot adopt her. I call her Lacey. She is a beautiful cat. I believe she is pregnant because her belly is swollen and it feels like there is kittens in there. She’s a beautiful cat I wish I could adopt her, but I can’t just leave her out here on the street so if you guys can help me, let me know if you can.

Please give her water and food. Ask your neighbors if this is their cat. If your town has a contract with Brandywine Valley SPCA, they are open admission and no and they will take her. You need to call them to check. Take to a vet, shelter or police station to scan for a microchip. Vets will do this for free. Contact local vets, shelters (Providence Animal Center, Brandywine SPCA, etc) and local police to see if a matching pet was reported as lost. Please do not just hand over to anyone claiming to be the owner or that they will give a good home. People will take animals and then sell them to dog fighting rings to be used as training bait, sell to labs to be used in experiments, or they abuse, torture them and them. Ask for ID and verify. Ask for vet or adoption records and verify. Ask to see pictures of the pet.

Please post on local Facebook groups for Delaware County for lost and found pets. This site is for Philadelphia so will not help anybody in Delaware County. Also, post on Nextdoor for your area. Please take inside if possible and keep her in a separate room. It is so dangerously hot and so many dangers for her to be outside. And it is extremely dangerous for her to have kittens outside. The kittens are susceptible to being attacked by other animals, people, etc. And in this extreme heat, they may not survive. If that is not possible, there is a lot of information online about how to build an easy inexpensive outdoor shelter from a styrofoam cooler. Fill it with straw. Do not use towels, blankets, newspapers, hay, etc. They will get wet and the cat will stay wet . Straw Will stay dry and keep her warm and dry.
