Jen Hartman, it worked for me. When I went to the Humane Society, that's what they told me to do. I lived in the city. Maybe in rural areas it would work as mentioned above. 🤷

Put his cat box outside near garage or wherever the area he travels around your home. My kitty came home after 3 days. They can smell the box from far away.

Don't give up, my indoor/outdoor very skittish cat who regularly came home disappeared for 9 days & just showed up, hungry, but he was fine. Make sure he has a way in. Mine use a doggie door & my guy just walked in one night.
