Small black dog, very friendly

This sweet dog has no chip! She ran up to my porch and wanted to stay. She is safe and can stay as long as needed. Plays with dog toys and is used to being in car and hse so someone is sure to be missing her. Based on her low weight and overall state, it is likely she has been lost for quite awhile.

To be clear, I am committed to finding her family. If that doesn’t happen within a few weeks, I will work through a reputable rescue organization I appreciate everyone’s good intentions, but I cannot / will not place the dog myself. Rescues are needed for proper screening to ensure best outcomes in the event we do not find her family. But let’s hope that we do. Reunions are the optimal outcome 🥰

Celina Pereira All great advice My veterinarian was my first stop. Then PawBoost, 24PetConnect. Nextdoor.com Signs are up. Neighbors contacted. I have been rescuing stray dogs for over 30 years. More than half have made it home within a couple of weeks. Others end up with new homes via reputable rescue organizations. I will not be giving this dog to random people on FB!
