This sweet girl is in the Transylvania Animal Shelter at. My friend and I were on the parkway 7/27/26 about to head down through the Cradle of forestry into Pisgah towards Brevard and we found a husky dog who was sitting in the middle of the road. 2 young women has brought her into the median and of course I asked if they were ok. Anyways they girls couldn't take her and were from out of town and had no cell service so after much debate I took her. We put her in the back of my car and then drove to the Pisgah Inn, the Pisgah Inn store, the campground guard gate and even tried to contact the Parkway dispatch and nobody could help us. I drove her back to Asheville to the after hours vet but Unfortunately she was not microchipped. Also I was informed because of the location I found her that I had to drive all the way to Brevard and bring her back to Transylvania county and she is in the Transylvania county animal shelter. Nobody came looking for her after 72 hours so she was recently spayed, got shots and microchipped and is now up for adoption. If you're her owner (which would be amazing!) that's where you can find her. Ive been calling you check up on her. Everyone I've dealt with from the shelter have been very kind and they treated her wounds. I hope if no owner is looking one of you will consider adopting her. Please call the shelter at the number listed, and or help spread the word. She's the sweetest, most well behaved dog I've met and that says a lot as I'm a cat person.
