You can easily trap him if he’s under your deck. Get a small trap and put some food in the back of the trap and wait for him to go inside. You can put a towel or blanket over the top of the trap. That’s what I did when a kitten was hiding under the porch and it worked.

@TeresaJaneCookLangohr It’s so expensive to have pets yes, but there are many places you can surrender a pet to. That way they have a chance of getting a loving home instead of suffering or possibly dying.

If possible, secure the animal and take it to LACC. That's the FIRST place one should look for a missing pet, and the proper place to take stray animals. We pay taxes toward this valuable service, making it the best chance for a lost animal to be reunited with it's RIGHTFUL owner. One can also place a FOUND PET or LOST PET ad on the LACC website for free. *** City of London also provides humane live traps via the TNR program, (again, funded by our tax dollars), for a refundable deposit of $80. Please note that "If you are unable to do the trapping, we (City of London) do have a partnership with a local rescue who may be able to assist you, as well as a full-time assistant May through September". For more information, please email animalservices@london.ca *** Once at LACC, animals are scanned for a microchip, their condition assessed, they are vetted to address immediate medical issues, (fleas/ticks/worms/mites etc.), and listed as 'found' on the LACC website. If not claimed within 3 business days, the cat or dog will be temperament tested, and if in good health, will be listed with a fair description as 'available for adoption'.
