This dog could belong to an older person that doesn't have the capacity to put out that their dog is lost!! I hate to say this, but it could belong to a person that is now deceased and was put out by someone in that family!! Put up posters w/ph.no./email 1 to 5 mile radius, ask anyone you meet if they knw the owner and how long she has been missing, put the posters near the roadway and businesses so people will see them, ask your neighbors too!! Email All VETS a poster w/ph.no./email, ask them if they know the owner, is she microchipped and registered?? Check Pawboost, Pawboost Community, Next Door, X, & 24petconnect periodically, you can also put her online with Next Door, X, & 24petconnect because some people don't come online FB, or maybe someone will see it that knows the dog!! There are LOST AND FOUND GREENSBORO, NC, online here along with some that have the person's name!! Check several pounds to see if anyone has called or come in about the dog!! If you decide not to keep the dog, PLEASE give her to someone you know well, a NO- SHELTER, SPCA (not ASPCA) or other organizations (except PETA), HUMANE SOCIETY ( I think that SPCA and HUMANE SOCIETY is in your town), PLEASE do not give her to the pound, pounds have moved up their days of euthanasia!!!! She is a pretty little dog, she just wants someone to love her!!

Thank you for helping. Please give food, water and bring inside. 🙏 Below are some tips: ✅ Please check for a microchip. It's free to check with any vet, the emergency vet is open 24/7. Also free with PetSmart and animal control when they are open. Be sure he is securely leashed so he doesn't get away at chip check location. ✅ The Nextdoor app is a helpful resource as well for lost/found pets. ✅ Check with neighbors at pickup location. May belong to someone who is not online. ✅ Please keep special identifying details to a minimum (special markings, collar colors/details so anyone who wants to claim will have to identify by those. 🚨Also require proof of ownership from anyone trying to claim (vet papers, old photos etc). ✅ Report to animal control and the shelter in case the owner calls or goes there looking for their pet. ✅ Please give the required 72 hours for the owners to try and find before rehoming. ✅ Check vet references and charge a rehoming fee to anyone looking to adopt so the pet doesn't end up in a bad place. Hope the rightful owner is found soon 🙏
