Message from Owner

This is my bird Fengári, her name loosely translates to moon in Greek, I love her dearly and so does my brothers cockatiel, without her we believe his cockatiel is likely to become depressed, she flew away when I was taking her outside to show my father, her wings weren’t clipped so I was holding her onto my shoulder when she managed to wiggle free of my grasp despite my trying to hold her there and she flew over our hse and into the almond orchard right behind our which is nearby newly built and being built hses, after around 30 minutes of searching we saw and heard her again only to witness her fly farther and deeper into the orchard. She means a lot to me and my family and she’s a determined bird, we would love nothing more than to see her in her cage next to Nigel, my brothers bird.

Posted on Lost and Found birds of the US. https://www.facebook.com/share/p/16uKnYVuqb/?mibextid=wwXIfr We are so sorry to hear your bird is missing. Here are some ideas to assist in your search. *Create a post on Pawboost, NextDoor & Ring, if you haven’t already. *During the daytime: use a wireless Bluetooth speaker to broadcast flock calls or your voice, shake treat bags or anything that might attract attention to food, put the cage out where it can be seen. *During the evening when searching is over, design & print off flyers with photo & contact information. These can be encased in a ziplock to keep weatherproof & posted in areas where allowed like parks, poles & any nearby gathering areas. Also drop off some at vet clinics, pet supply stores, anything within a 5 mile radius. Contact local shelters/rescues & even the police dept - they do pick up found/stray pets all the time. Make sure the world knows - neighbors esp ones that have bird feeders/baths/pools. Hand them out while searching the area. Join every local social media group there is. Run an ad in your local newspaper - some run one for free in lost & found (or cheap). Also check with local bird watcher groups - they’re always out & about. Flyers cannot be placed in mailboxes. *PLEASE CHECK WITH LOCAL ANIMAL SHELTERS & FILE A MISSING PET REPORT*
