I am with Bring Ace Home - A Lesson In Faith and these are things we tell lost pet owners: Most dogs will try and circle back to where they were lost. Even newly adopted dogs, as it is the only somewhat familiar place. Get your dirty laundry or towels out and hang in some of the trees. Spray liquid smoke around the house and in the trees. Put a bowl of yummy smelling food out (fried chicken no bones, kielbasa, bacon) Grill some bacon and/or kielbasa. You could also put a crock pot outside with some hotdogs and bbq sauce in it. Leave it uncovered. Dogs will follow these scents. They can smell from a mile away. Look up “calming signals for lost dogs” online. You will need these when you see him. He may not recognize you at first and he may see you as a threat at this point. Do not have groups of people out in that area looking for him. It will push him out of the area. Get signs out in the lost area immediately! Lots and lots of signs. You cannot have too many! Have Lost Dog, Picture and Your number. Example attached. Time is of the essence. You can also call a drone company. We recommend Precision Drone.
