Aww. Bear is a gorgeous eartipped brown tabby cat with ear tufts. I'm so sorry she's missing. Is she an escaped indoor cat or is Bear allowed outside? Her familiarity with the outdoors will dictate how to find her. Escaped indoor cats usually hide close by but are too frightened to return or respond when called; while a cat that knows its way around may have become stuck somewhere and needs help getting home. I have recovered many lost cats and assisted others so if you tell me about Bear I can provide complete instructions that may help. Until I hear back from you, keep in mind that an escaped cat may emerge when it's dark and quiet to sneak back inside. If this is what happened and you see Bear approach, remain still and be careful not to startle her. Provide a clear path inside and she may put an end to the crisis herself. Also, although some will suggest putting out kitty's litter box, experts say DON’T DO IT. I've never used one in all the times I've been successful recovering a lost cat. Please read this to learn more about why it's neither necessary nor recommended: https://www.facebook.com/notes/lost-cats-georgia/why-we-dont-recommend-putting-your-lost-cats-litter-box-outside/1101245526665296/

Assuming Bear is an indoor kitty, he will be scared and likely hiding nearby. In any event, check in bushes, trees, wooded areas, garages, empty buildings, under buildings and vehicles,etc....anywhere kitty may be hiding or trapped. Stand very still at each location while calling his name and listen for a faint meow. He is most apt to come out in the evening when it's quiet. Leave the garage door open slightly for kitty to get back inside. Leave unwashed items with your and kitty's scents on them outside to lure him home. Post on Nextdoor.com and Pawboost also. Put REWARD POSTERS with photo in neighborhoods, all area vet clinics apt/condo complexes and nearby businesses. Put the flyers in plastic sleeves so they won't be ruined by the rain.
