Updated *3rd and final edit I’ve been unsuccessful with finding a safe place for her to go. I can’t keep her due to my no pet policy lease agreement and will be taking her to the animal control center today. It truly breaks my heart that I have to do this as she’s such a good girl. I really tried 😓

*2nd Edit 3/17/26 Tuesday still no luck with reuniting this girl with her owner. She is still refusing dog food and now has some what looks like blood in her stool. Neither me or my son can keep her due to our no pet policy on our rental agreements. I’m begging for someone to step up and take her so I don’t have to take her to an animal shelter. I’ve reached out to a rescue but if I can find her a good home now that would be great. Please message me if you have any suggestions or would like to take her.

*Editing to say we took her Monday 3/9/26 to have her scanned for a microchip and she is chipped and she has been spaded. The vets office has reached out to the registered owner but sadly we haven’t heard anything back from them. At this point I honestly don’t know what to do. She seems so sad and is really missing her human. She won’t eat anything besides human food and that’s very limited, she just turns away from almost everything we’ve offered her. I feel so bad for her. She such a wonderful and sweet girl. She is so calm, very well mannered, knows several commands and potty trained. Any opinions or suggestions on what we should do next is definitely appreciated.
