Found/Stray Dog in Sacramento, CA 95834

Description

red/rusty colored short haired chihuahua mix and weighs about 8-10lbs. He's neutered, appears to be older/senior UPDATE! I've taken him to the vet, he's microchipped and they're still trying to get in touch with the owners. He's 9lbs and approx 10 years old. He's in desperate need of dental surgery and has a heart murmur that's likely caused by his dental issues but otherwise healthy. I went ahead and paid for the exam, for them to trim his nails, and got him medicine for pain.

I've come into possession of a dog that was found 2 days ago (11/2/2025). He's a red/rusty colored short haired chihuahua mix and weighs about 8-10lbs. He's neutered, appears to be older/senior and his teeth are in ruff shape. He might be a little underweight but that could be due to his teeth making it difficult for him to eat. I gave him a nice bath and plenty of soft good food and treats. He's seems to be friendly but nervous and skittish around new people (especially men) and dogs but does NOT seem to be aggressive at all. I'm taking him to the vet later today, just for a check up and to get him scanned for a microchip. He was found by a family on San Juan and E Commerce. They posted him on the ring app and I'm holding on to him while we look for his family so he didn't have to go to Front Street. I'll be notifying Front Street as soon as I finish this post and he's already posted on Nextdoor and the Ring app. He'll be well taken care of here while we look for his family. If anyone recognizes him please let me know!
