This cat was NOT found/reunited, I don’t know who changed the post status butI can’t edit it so re-posting. ***This cat is NOT Apple Crisp - I talked to the owner.*** Very affectionate sweet boy who is unafraid of people, loves head scratches. Malnourished, no visible injuries, but observed him having pain in abdomen. Teeth perfect and all intact that I could see. Ears not tipped. May be community cat with parasites causing malnourished condition and voracious appetite. Providing food and water, cubby hideaway, and attempting capture. Yes, I know we can check for a chip -IF I could get him safely in a carrier, I will. And yes, I’ve talked to both Alexandria and Arlington shelters and Alexandria Animal Control. Animal control won’t trap cats, they catch too many other critters but rarely the cats. So next I am going to contract a local TNR team for help - he bit me when while feeding him he suddenly had a pain spasm where he started panting and his tummy rippled and he was vocalizing long loud wails, so while I don’t blame him I’m simply equipped to deal with this level of complexity. I appreciate your prayers for his health (and mine)! Thank you so much.
