Description

Solid black, neutered male with big yellow eyes

Message from Owner

He's a 7 year old solid black American Domestic. Big yellow eyes. He's normally a very social cat when it comes to humans. Always looking to give love and get love. He doesn't get along well with strange cats. He definitely does not like dogs. He also prefers being outside at all times. If he's inside his entire personality changes. He feels trapped and becomes severely stressed. He has a sweet soft voice when describing his meow. We've had him since he was a baby. He's been outside of his choosing for about 6 years. He's well acquainted with the area and never had any previous issues of him running off and not returning our running off in general. He stays close to . We're afraid someone took him that night of 8/31/2025. We live next to an AirBnB and a family had been there. Last time we saw Phantom was late afternoon early evening. That family left really late Saturday or really really early Sunday morning. No one has ever attempted to grab him. We just want him back or want to know what happened.

Deb Lou Yes, we've never had an issue with worrying that someone would just grab him.

Mice Danner He is an outdoor cat. Been that of his choosing for 6 years. He never goes far as he's fixed and loves his family. He might wander a little bit in the day close to home but back on the porch come dark. He's never been gone for days and then come back either... I honestly think someone took him.

Deb Lou I need to talk to the neighbor across the street and see if he can contact the owner to the Airbnb. But, he's an outside cat. Been that way of his choosing for the past 6 years. When inside he's like a caged animal.

No one ever tried to grab him, you wrote, and he might not allow it. I hope Phantom is safe. Have you been putting food and water for him at night and watching for him through bd night?

Shared Phantom. The BNB, motel, probably has video cameras. Would you ask them to look at the videos and tell you if anyone took your car that night?

Cats that normally do not go outside do not go very far. They will hunker down in the bushes in your yard or your neighbor's yard. You may be so close to them that you can actually step on them and not see them. So look extremely closely. Go out there with some food or some treats in a bag or a can shaking it calling their name. If it's safe to do so and you have another person in your house, have them stay inside with the door open from which your cat escape from. When you are outside calling and shaking the can and looking for he or she, have that person inside with the door open. Cats normally will run back into the same door area but if it is closed they will leave. At night, go out there with the food doing the same thing but with a flashlight looking for the reflection of their eyes. If you have a garage door leave your garage door open a few inches. Also cats have been known to come home between the hours of 2:00 a.m. and 5:00 a.m. so you'll need to check frequently. Put a piece of clothing of your cat's most beloved person outside. Cats can smell up to 1 mi away. But do not under any circumstance put the litter box out. That will attract predators. Cats cover their excrement for a reason. If you put the litter box outside, your cat will leave the area. I will also share.

Cook chicken on the grill. Put catnip outside..play YouTube videos of kittens crying. Shine a laser cat toy around the bushes.
