Amy Kamala Humane cat traps are wire cages with a spring-loaded door. They work by using a pressure plate inside the cage. You set it up close to where you think the cat has escaped from. The cat smells the bait food placed in it. (Usually at night time they come out of hiding in search of food) When the cat walks in to reach the food at the back, it steps on the plate, releasing a latch and shutting the door safely and securely behind it.
