Ask the microchip registry who implanted the chip. It's usually a rescue, that rescue would have the contact info of who adopted him/her. And the rescue May be interested in taking the cat back if the adopters don't want it back. El Dorado humane took a cat back that i found at a colony I had been TNRing here in Sac. The owner drove the 11 yr old cat 30 miles to Sac to dump it in a man's yard where they saw cats. El Dorado did call and they just didn't want him anymore. 🤬 He was a very healthy, nice affectionate cat. I didn't think he was 11, El Dorado sent me his baby pic. ED put him up for adoption and he found, I hope, a better home

Awe she’s beautiful. Another case of Updates your pets information with the microchip company. Many people adopt a cat from a rescue and assume the rescue will change to cat to you. No they don’t. And if you move or change your phone number, contact chip company.
