MESSAGE FROM OWNER

Chester was about 10 years old when I adopted him from the Colonial Heights Animal Shelter.

DESCRIPTION

Orange tabby; about 17 years old; is now skinnier than in this picture; indoor cat so he doesn’t wear a collar. He has some health issues, so I am worried about him being out in the cold, wet weather. Has been chipped. Please contact me if you see him. Thank you so much for looking for him!

Linda Coleman Your welcome. My 13-year-old was just diagnosed with chronic kidney disease. I have been doing some research on this diagnosis. I will not put my pet through everything. For starters, the suggested prescribed food she didn't like. I found this site of interest, TANYA'S COMPREHENSIVE GUIDE TO FELINE CHRONIC KIDNEY DISEASE: https://www.felinecrf.org/

Terry Katz Thank you for this link. It is what I just prayed for, something to give me peace. Chester was diagnosed with chronic kidney disease in late August. The vet wanted me to give him subcutaneous injections twice a week. I gave him the injection 4 times but it didn't seem to me that it helped him and it just scared him and made him uncomfortable so I stopped doing it in mid-September. I did not think the time had come for me to have him put to sleep, but maybe I was wrong! Again, thank you for sending this to me. I believe God inspired you to send it. May God bless you!

I hope your cat return home soon. I know right now having a 15 and a 13 year old. They sometimes just wander off and when they don't feel good. Be sure to check close by in your vicinity around any homes, underbrush, or hiding places. This article is worth reading. https://www.petcarerx.com/article/why-do-cats-run-away-before-dying/5152
