Get a humane trap asap. That’s the best way to get him back quickly. You can get one at most hardware stores or in Amazon. A local cat rescue or shelter might lend you one. Usually they are close by. When using a trap, monitor it carefully. Don’t let other pets or wildlife stress for long in it. In the meantime put out food and water so he doesn’t go in search of it. Put out water always even when trapping. Post flyers and ask neighbors to check under decks, in garages, sheds and crawl spaces. Set up a ring camera and ask neighbors to check theirs. Try the open door trick. This does often work well. Secure other pets and leave the door open just a bit, especially in the early morning hours. Leave a trail of food leading inside. But get that humane trap asap soon as you can. 🙏❤️
