Shared. Note that TWO days is a long time to a cat, this is longer so I hope you did ALL these things, now do them ALL again and go further in your search. Notify Mississauga Animal Services and check their website for found cats. Carefully check around your home and property, focusing on small, hidden spots like closets, dresser drawers and hidden nooks and crannies, as cats often hide nearby when scared. Search all nearby shrubs, bushes and trees, window wells, garages and sheds. Ask nearby neighbours to do the same. Alert local vet offices, rescues and shelters. Cats will usually stay near the door they left for a day or two before searching for food. But note that intact male cats can travel long distances in search of females in heat and have trouble finding their way home. Alert local feral cat feeders who may spot him searching for food. In case he is still nearby, leave his used litter and some food and water in hidden places near the door he left. Check at dusk. See Pawboost for more ways to find and sample posters. Put a notice in nearby neighbours mailboxes, post on local notices boards, in community centres, churches and schools. Go out after dark bring food and treats, search a 5-10 block radius, stop periodically and softly call but do not make an loud noises or sudden moves. Lost cats are terrified and do not recognize their owner as safe

Will you be able to recognize or claim it when found?

Put a box of your dirty clothes and linens outside your door, hopefully the scent will guide her home. Do not use the litter box, it attracts other predators like coyotes.

How many floors up is your apartment? Did you check in the bushes and all around under your balcony? Go out in the early hours of the morning and shake the treat bag and call his name quietly. Take a flashlight as his eyes will shine. Make posters and flyers and get them up and out asap! Knock on doors in your building and hand out flyers. Call all the vets and shelters in your area in case someone took him in. Hopefully he is microchipped and someone takes him to be scanned. Good luck, I hope he is ok and you find him! 😿
