Indoor kitties usually stay close to home. Put something with your scent on it (unwashed clothes) outside. If you have any other cats put something with their scent on it also. They can pick up the scent for quite a distance. ***Check under your porch, in sheds, garages, bats, window wells.
*** Very important *** The cat could have gotten stuck in a neighbors structure/garage/shed looking for warmth and can’t get out. It happens often. Go door to door and ask if anyone has seen her and ask them to check their garage, etc. *** even if they haven’t seen the cat.
Put flyers on mailboxes/doors. If you have a sighting, set a trap with worn piece of your clothing on top where she was spotted... check cameras if you have them .. she might return at night when quiet and you’d know she was trying to return … Also look around at night under bushes and shrubs with a bright flashlight… you may catch the kitties eyes. Looking at night when it’s quieter is also advised. When checking for her call her name quietly … talk to her as you would at home. It might entice her to surface .. they tend to hide because they’re frightened. 🐾
