Diana Ellis We have put six traps and an equal amount of food bowls in every concealed location possible. Nothing so far unfortunately.

Laverne Cerra, I don't even know where Morristown is -- I respond to posts that are shared just to see if I can help. I live near Orlando.

Laverne Cerra, well, you have to think the way Whitey would. When a cat escapes into uncharted territory they become terrified because they have no familiarity with it and therefore no confidence in their ability to defend themselves. Most cats will immediately go into survival mode and make a map of their surroundings, attempting to figure out how and when to get back to their starting point. When night falls and it's time to go back, if all of a sudden the path is not the same because objects have erupted in it, it throws a wrench into the entire map and some cats will become confused or be too suious to try and retrace their steps. That's why I usually wait until they've found a place where they're comfortable emerging for food because once they've done that successfully and without incident, and put in their memory bank that food in this particular location is safe, getting it from inside the trap the following night becomes much less daunting for kitty.
