Thank you I thought about that. But he seemed to be fine. I will let my son know to keep searching in those areas as where we live is very wooded and overgrown.

I'm sorry he was let outside by himself because he may have purposely wandered into a wooded or overgrown area to pass away because that is what senior dogs and cats do. They prefer to pass on by themselves. Check also around the buildings under and behind bushes right next to the buildings. I had two that tried to go off and pass by themselves by hiding behind bushes. They will crouch down low to try to keep from being seen. He reminds me of my old girl I lost several years ago.
