Message from Owner

Hi! Our sweet girl, Luna hasn’t come home in 3, almost 4 days. We’re very worried, this is not like her. We’ve had her since she was a tiny kitten, almost 10 years!! My oldest son misses her dearly. Please reach out to me if you see her or even if you think you do!! Thanks so much.

God of all creation, We come before You with soft hearts and open hands, remembering that every living being was formed by Your breath and held in Your care. We lift up the animals of this world—those seen and unseen, those loved and those forgotten, those safe in homes and those wandering streets without shelter or name. Lord, You know each one. You know the small heartbeat of every stray kitten hiding under a porch, the weary eyes of a dog searching for food and kindness, the trembling of creatures who have known fear more than comfort. Nothing about them is hidden from You. Every life matters to You, down to the smallest sparrow, and so we ask You to wrap them in Your mercy. We pray for protection over every homeless animal tonight and every night. Shield them from harm, from hunger, from cold, from cruelty, and from loneliness. Place Your gentle hand over them when no human hand is near. Guide them to safe corners, to kind people, to moments of relief and rest. Let there be food where there is hunger, warmth where there is cold, and compassion where there has been neglect. We ask, Lord, that You stir the hearts of people everywhere. Remind us that animals are not beneath us but entrusted to us. Teach us to see them not as burdens or background noise, but as precious lives with feelings, needs, and the capacity to trust and love. Make us better stewards—more patient, more responsible, more willing to act when we see suffering. Bless the hands of those who rescue, who foster, who adopt, who feed, who heal, who speak for those who cannot speak for themselves. Strengthen them when they are tired. Encourage them when progress feels small. Multiply their efforts so that even one act of kindness becomes a ripple of protection across many lives. And Lord, for every animal who has never known a home, we ask something tender: send them a place where they are safe. A door that opens for them not in fear but in welcome. A home where they are not tolerated, but cherished. Where their presence is celebrated, and their existence is met with gentleness. Let them know what it feels like to be chosen, to be kept warm, to be loved without condition. We grieve the suffering that has happened in silence, and we place it in Your hands. But we also hold hope—that the world can be gentler, that humans can do better, that compassion can grow where indifference once lived. May every animal be seen as precious in Your sight, because they are. May we never forget that care is not optional when love is present. And may we always be moved to protect the vulnerable, just as You protect all of us. Amen

Be sure and post on Nextdoor and Cincinnati Tri-State Area Lost and Found Pets (includes NKY and SE IN). Put up flyers everywhere including in your yard, hang some of your unwashed clothing outside, and put out some smelly food. Check under decks and porches, inside garages and outdoor building, and around bushes and tree lines; ask neighbors to do the same. Go outside late at night when it’s quiet and call for him/her while shaking his/her favorite treats, use a flashlight to help see his/her eyes. Also cook some food in the grill so she can smell her way home.
