Puppy got out of the backyard earlier this afternoon (7/21) around 2pm and is currently loose in the Roseway neighborhood. (NE 78th Ave & NE Mason St) Details - Name: Mako - Female (spayed) - Malinois/German Shepard - Approximately 8 months old - Microchipped - Nervous/skittish and will likely run if approached - Stands ~24 inches tall (ground to top of head) - Black with brown accent fur pattern (legs, paws, head, undercoat) There is a current post on NextDoor that is consistently being checked, as well as a report with the Multnomah County Animal Services Department. We are surveying the streets and knocking on doors in the area too.

Please read & heed those "First steps when your dog goes missing." They're written by a woman who spends every waking moment outside work hrs searching for others' dogs. I followed those steps (in Cully!) when my new-to-me rescue pup got loose. ESPECIALLY go door 2 door w/ fliers & post obnoxiously bright posters @ corners all over the neighborhood. Post so drivers can see them from the car. And contact WagginTails Search & Rescue to see if they can help you. They DO not charge $. They're VERY knowledgeable.
