Rough looking flame point white cat

Message from Owner

Buttercup is a feral cat we care for in the neighborhood. There are reports she may have been hit by a car. If people in the areas could check their yards, under their porches, under bushes...we would really appreciate it. This would be on the further side of her home range of Dartmouth/Pilgrim Ave.

Unfortunately, we do believe buttercup was the cat that was hit by the car and are assuming a neighbor removed her from the road and buried her. There was blood at the scene of the accident and she has not been back since. She rarely missed a meal and usually only due to rain. She was about 14 years old and very loved. She was also VERY feral. I am a big proponant of keeping cats indoors for both their safety & the well being if wild animals. Unfortunately, buttercup and at least 3 other community cats were dumped in the neighborhood at some point over a decade ago. Although ten years of feeding her did socialize her to me, we were still unable to handle her. Vet care required trapping which was very stressful for her and she was hard to outsmart. We are leaving the post up for a few more days to see if a neighbor happens to stumble upon it who did see her after the accident.
