Fistik's Owner Says

UPDATE: WE FOUND OUR BABY GIRL AFTER 5 DAYS! 🥹❤️ Thank you all so much for your support, advice, and kind messages. We truly appreciate every one of you. 🫂 Tomorrow morning, I will take her to the vet for a check-up. I’ll also find a way to get her used to wearing a collar with an AirTag, even though she doesn’t like collars. 🥹 Thank you again! ❤️

Jayce McKinney Not really helpful. This post is to help find the cat, not traumatize the owner. The cat could simply be an indoor cat that got out by accident.

Get lots of signs up, and post on neighbourhood/community groups as well as ‘Toronto Lost and Found Cats’. Also file a lost report with Animal Services. Keep checking all groups and sites daily. A good list of things to do is on www.catsinthebag.org (click on the link itself). If your kitty is microchipped, make sure it is registered and the company has your up-to-date information. And some good information is here : www.missinganimalresponse.com/lost-cat-behavior/

If this is an indoor only cat that never goes out, look close. Indoor only cats when lost get scared and hide because it is unknown territory and usually do not come out when you call. Usually are within 3 or 4 houses . Put out something with your scent such as a piece of clothing or blanket. Call at dusk, dawn and night and shake the treats. Get in your neighbour's yards and look under decks, sheds, in trees, bushes or anywhere they can hide. Put up lots of posters. If you are searching at night, use a flashlight as their eyes glow in the dark. https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=388310901737884

Rebecca Belinko-Rotenberg yes she is a strictly indoor cat and isn’t familiar with the outside world. She is very scared of cars and strangers. I’ve been searching for her nonstop, and I’m praying we find her safe and healthy as soon as possible. Thank you for your advice I will do that🙏🏻

Hulya Yasar hi it's she's a strictly indoor cat she is very close by. Just go out when it starts to get dark and stay out for half an hour call and listen call and listen. Bring a flashlight and going the bushes. If she's never been out she is not far that's a promise. Also they do tend to come back in the night so if somebody could be there with the door open
