Melissa Phelps The only cruel thing here is seeing someone worried sick about their missing dog and deciding to use it as an opportunity to judge instead of help. At least educate yourself before speaking. Since your obviously to lazy to do so I will supply you with common simple knowledge about Huskies: Huskies have a double coat that insulates them from both cold and heat. Their coat helps regulate body temperature by trapping a layer of air against the skin. Huskies can and do live healthy lives in warm climates, including Hawaii, as long as they have shade, fresh water, aren’t exercised during the hottest parts of the day, and their owners manage heat exposure responsibly. They are certainly more prone to overheating than some breeds, but simply owning a husky in Hawaii is not, by itself, cruelty.
