Description
This photo of Lucky is 9 years old, so she looks a bit older than this photo although still totally beautiful. Lucky is a black cat, short hair, no distinguishing other color except a few white hairs on stomach between back legs. Not a big cat, more like medium-small female, 10 lbs.
Message from Owner
Lucky is a rare survivor of Bobcat Fever (2 years ago). She spent her early kitten years in the woods behind our hse. We slowly befriended her and she became the queen of our hearts and our home 12 years ago. Lucky is curious but wary of strangers. It isn't possible to pick her up if she doesn't know you. She will even scratch us if we try to restrain her. Lucky had to be tough as a kitten in the woods but has become very, very affectionate to us and would never scratch us unless she's picked up and restrained. We love Lucky beyond words and have been distraught since she disappeared one week ago. Lucky sleeps on our bed or beside Richard in his chair at night. She has 2 cat windows and does not use an indoor litterbox, so goes in and out at will. She patrols the yard and our street from about 3:00 am to early morning. She never ranges far from our yard and Always comes when I call her. She really likes cat treats but for meals usually prefers Friskies dry food to canned catfoods. Unlike most other cats we've known, Lucky doesn't eat people food; chicken or fish do not seem to interest her. She might be attracted to cat nip for a few minutes, but not long. Mainly she likes to chase balls and snuggle, purr, and sleep. Lucky is afraid of dogs especially if they are big and barking, but she likes to watch deer, squirrels, groundhogs and birds from the deck that is two stories above the ground. If frightened or chased, she can run Far, hide under porches, or climb trees... If you spot an unknown black cat even if far from her normal range of Ridgeway or Fuller Street, even to the Writers Colony, Dairy Hollow, or the Crescent Hotel, it would be best to call us and we will come to the location IMMEDIATELY! 479 - 253-6060, Richard and Pam Quick. Thank you for your help.
