Update: I have the cat in my cat carrier now. Plainfield Police is picking him up to scan for a chip. Animal control will get him monday morning to help treat him. Poor baby is losing his eye. Contact plainfield police if you think it is your baby.

Sharon Merkle However this poor cat got into the physical condition in he is in or the exact age of the cat prior to horrific eye injury is known. Chances are that the conclusion of any visual assessment will probably be incorrect. The only fact known is the obvious and that is the eye is definitely in need of immediate medical attention including pain to eliminate his suffering as well as antibiotics for infection. If necessary , the eye should unfortunately be removed but on a positive note , in the event that should be necessary for his overall health and to maybe save his life, there are many cats who for whatever reason have has one or both eyes even removed and they have been know to go on in otherwise good health to live a normal , very happy life. Yes, it's sad if he has only one eye but as long as he is alive and he is happy and functioning , then everyone should share his joy with him.

He kinda looks like Sylvester but I don't think he would have gotten that far from the Hoopeston Area.

He obviously needs medical care and a square meal. If his current condition came about while he was in the "care" of his owners, he shouldn't go back to them.

I've been caring for a ferrel cat that looks very familiar. I live in Joliet by West Park though. Pretty sure I saw him last week.
