Kim Strickland The shelter will handle contacting the owner and any medical care it needs when it arrives at the shelter. We have no idea what is going on with the dog to get to the point.

Robin Carlyle "No " shelters still euthanize animals, and strays generally always go through county shelters. This would need to do that just incase an investigation needs to happen. Please stop with the whole shelters vs no argument.

If he got lost and has been running for a week he could easily get this skinny this quickly. My dog has a pancreatic condition she needs medicine for. She could easily look like this without her medicine for a week. I’m not saying that he didn’t come from a bad situation but it is not a given.

AARF Piper Yates Caviness Forsyth Humane Society Just trying to get this relayed to rescue folks for awareness and help—contact OP for more…. **He may be in danger of being put to sleep due to his condition. Not sure of AC’s current policies.** This sweet dog has been turned over to Animal Control! Is there anyone available to help in this situation, and get him the care he needs? They were supposed to check him for a chip, but no info on this post about possibility of an owner.

Please feed it slow, I know you realize he's probably been starving, but you'll be really bad for it to just let it gorge. Let it eat slowly like half a cup a day for or twice a day I should say and then you know increase just by little bits and that add dog's been on the street a long time. Somebody went off and left it. It could have been lost. Been probably just left people
