MESSAGE FROM OWNER

Tomorrow is 20 days since Roo slipped off. This continues to be a difficult time. Pretty much any spare energy goes into trying to find Roo. She stays consistently on my mind. There is no real rest, stress and anxiety remain high. This week we have had three days of drones coming in to search for her. Tomorrow morning we has a search and rescue dog coming to track anything left of her scent. Time for a rebrand as I keep posting in local and state-wide groups making sure those close by keep an eye out for Roo. We have raised the reward, but honestly I would give much more for peace of mind and about anything to have her . We’ve gotten multiple calls and so many leads, but always the wrong dogs and once, a dead fox. Grateful to my family for the support they are lending by either watching Lyla or searching for Roo. Here are the details: -Roo went missing from Cox Mill Dr., Yadkinville, NC on April 9. -Roo is a small, 16 pound, short brown/tan hair chi mix. She is about 14” tall and presents smaller in real life than photos suggest. She is tough though and looks similar to a terrier bread in stance. -Roo’s ears look like yoda and stick straight in the air most times, her tail curls on her back. -Roo was last seen with a collar on of burnt/light orange. Her tags do not dangle and her name is on the side of her collar. There was an air tag which is currently reading that it is not locatable. It was like that before she was lost and unnoticed until she went missing. Roo’s air tag is currently in Lost Mode. -Roo is five years old. She was adopted from a shelter on St. Thomas in the USVI during Covid. She lived as a boat dog for the first two years of her life. She is adaptable and smart. -Roo is skittish to strangers, especially men, she may snip or run. Please do not chase her if you find her and be patient as you keep her company until she approaches or you can call us to get there. Please stay with her until help arrives. -Roo is not food motivated normally, at this state she may be, but do not be surprised if she refuses food as a lure. Sightings: -She was last seen 4/12 and 4/13 on Fleming Rd. Yadkinville, NC -She was then reported being on Hudsputh Rd., Yadkinville on 4/14 -While we can absolutely confirm these sightings were of Roo they made sense geographically and also the descriptions and mannerisms explained leads us to believe it was her. Contact for Tips and Location: * * * erikaboruff@gmail.com Reward: $1000 -Rewarded even if your tip leads to finding her, you don’t physically have to hand us Roo. Please keep eyes on her and call the numbers above until you reach someone. -No questions asked. The priority is Roo’s safety. What you can do: -Continue to share posts about Roo. We will not give up and the more exposure she gets, the more likely she will be recognized. -Due to sightings and the fact that a scent dog/search and recovery team found no body, we strongly believe and know Roo is still alive. If you live in the areas surrounding the following streets in Yadkinville: Cox Mill Rd/Hudsputh/Fleming, please leave water on your porches or driveways for Roo to find. -Apple Users: If you are on the area please make sure your location service and Bluetooth are on and communicating with your “Find My” app. Roo’s air tag is showing full battery we just need it to ping!! -Android Users: If you are in the area you can download an app called “Tracker Detect” and it should also notify you of air tags in the area! -Copy and Paste this post or Share it into any groups around the area or on lost dog pages accessible to large forums on Facebook! Thank you for reading this, sharing this, and most importantly keeping an eye out for Roo.

More info: Two Missing Dogs • Yadkinville, NC UPDATE: REWARD INCREASED $5,000 per dog Due to the time that has passed, we are exploring the option that maybe Roo and Liebe have been picked up. If you have “adopted” these dogs or maybe you’ve seen them in a home or vehicle around please know they are extremely loved and wanted. We have increased the reward to $5,000 per dog. If your tip leads to us finding them then you are entitled to the reward. If you are not interested in the money in exchange for the dogs than please still consider reaching out so we can say goodbye, I am familiar with the State law, but also know our dogs have not been to local vets or shelters yet. For those still taking the time to call tips in, thank you, we go out to look for every call we get! We won’t give up on them! Here are the details on Roo (left): -Roo went missing from Cox Mill Dr., Yadkinville, NC on April 9. -Roo is a small, 16 pound, short brown/tan hair chi mix. She is about 14” tall and presents smaller in real life than photos suggest. She is tough though and looks similar to a terrier bread in stance. -Roo is microchipped and spayed. -Roo’s ears look like yoda and stick straight in the air most times, her tail curls on her back. -Roo was last seen with a collar on of burnt/light orange. Here are the details on Liebe (right): -Liebe went missing from the same location as Roo weeks later, he followed her same trail. Scent dogs have confirmed he ran the same path as her. He looks like a small German Shepard mixed with a corgis (which sounds crazy, but he’s a mix!). -Liebe has black ears and a black snout, with black around his eyes and on his tail tip. He is incredibly friendly and kind. -Liebe is young, about 1.5 years old. He is not microchipped and not neutered. -Liebe is a rescue found dumped in a parking lot in Yadkinville as just a small puppy with his eyes still closed.
