Alexis McLemore how old is he? It's my understanding that animals sometimes go on a walkabout sort of like native coming of age activities. If that happens they usually come back. They keeping the scent outside with the clothing. If you have some shrubs in front of your apartment you may be able to do that. Closet maybe more difficult to find out a safe Patty place not Petty please hide place if they're not strawberries around outside your door. Some people say to put food out of my little box. That may work I don't know. But it doesn't really make sense to me because it could attract stray cats and other animals which would make it frightening for your cat to come home. Don't give up just keep holding that he is coming home can you be home soon. In your mind just call him. This may not make any sense to you at all but cats tend to be very good at hearing their owners thoughts and seeing the images in their mind. A little an image create a little video in your head showing him to come home. See him arriving to see you greeting him to see you bring him inside and hugging him just imagine that it's just as you would have it. He does read your mind, really. It doesn't make sense just imagine that it does pretend just pretend that you can imagine it and that he can read your mind. Can't hurt

Margaret Dexter thank you ! I tried looking around I stay in apartments so it’s harder it seems , one of the neighbors said they saw him two days ago and someone else gave him food and water but hasn’t seen him since then

I speak my messages and my phone does not always understand me. I meant in a place that he would like to hide like under a bush or something.

Put some used clothing from his favorite person outside the door and in a safe honeygo spot like under a bush or something he's probably hiding nearby. Look under the shrubbery your place next door. His back one of my cats slipped out was gone for two nights and I finally found her underneath the holly bush and even when I went right up to the edge of the bush with food she just looked at me and would not come out she was terrified. I had to crawl back in the sticky holly bush together. And unless your cat is used to wandering around he's probably nearby hiding and scared to come out. This others have said look at night with a flashlight cuz his eyes will show up. Good luck finding your kitty.
