MESSAGE FROM OWNER

I've had her since she was a baby. She's about to be 8 at the end of next month(May). This cat has been my family for years and I don't wanna lose her. Last time she went missing, she was found with the neck injury. I fear for her because she isn't a street cat and I know that not many people are fond of black cats .. please help me find my baby. is the best way to teach me; call or text.

DESCRIPTION

She is injured, so extremely defensive. She will also respond to her name being called if you approach her, even if she doesn't come to you. She has an injury in her neck that sometimes causes her to lean it to the left and an ingrown claw in her right paw, which was bleeding when I last saw her.

I also did run into someone on the site claiming to have my cat who emailed me, but tried to get money out of me for a "return". If you have a missing pet and someone from the email "ellap4440@gmail.com" reaches out to you, for your own sanity and just to prevent getting your hopes up, do no respond .. it is a lie 😞

Hi, I'm Katie. This is my post. Thank you so much to everyone for the helpful tips and advice and kind words. Brownie is still missing, unfortunately, but I thought I'd add a few more details in that'll help identify her if you do happen to come across her; Her name is Brownie. She's a "black" cat, I only say it that way because she's actually a really dark brown, but would technically be considered a "black cat". She has the smallest patch (actually maybe 3-4 strands) of barely noticeable white fur between her neck and chest. Her nose/mouth area is a bit wide, she has an injury and can hold her head of straight, but most times she will have it slanted to the left. She is very defensive, but means no harm as she's just scared. On her right paw she has an overgrown nail, that may be bleeding. She is hurt and may be limited on movement. She can climb and jump, but not very high or from very high. She's a bit of a chubby cat, but is actually smaller than the average adult tabby, but she is almost 8 years old. Behind/under her left ear, there may also be a cut you can't see, but may feel if you've pet her. If you happen to see her, please let me know.

The best person to get the cat back is you. Very important. You continue to feed your cat around same time every day. Food & water. Very important to keep calling your Cat day & night when it’s most quiet. Get a flashlight and at night check to see if you see glowing eyes …Also get a camera, so you can see what’s going on when you’re not there. Please don’t waste time help your kitty find their way home. Please follow these steps to help your kitty to come home 🏡… really keep calling kitty in dusk, & Dawn. Put things out the litter. Anything you have from your brush hair anything tie it to something by your door that kitty remembers. This will help Kitty smell and find his way home. I do TNR please If you follow these steps you are sure to get your kitty....Please get a trail camera or any kind of camera wifi camera’s are great, so u can see what is going on when u r not around. I got mine at Walmart or s sporting even Amazon for less than $30, put it by the trap, we’re you will put kitty food out. You could get A trap from A shelters near you, and try to place trap by Bush, a hedge camouflage with large leaves. With food in the back. sprinkle kitties Litter! cats can smell up to 500 to 1000 feet. sprinkle a little left right back in front of your house. took me one month to get my cat back. Stay on top of it every day. prayers.. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 Also check local Animal Control, rescues & shelters, Vets, Police Station, & ask your neighbors check every so many days if you can, it’s some work, but file a missing kitty report provide them with a picture, I would say try the whole radius of your block not just a couple of houses to see if anyone saw kitty. Sometimes it takes a few days or more for kitty to come out of hiding. 🐾🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻😿

WHAT TO DO IF YOUR CAT GOES MISSING * Make up a poster with picture of cat & phone number for sightings. Give one to all your neighbors. * Ask your neighbors if YOU can check under decks, in sheds, in their garages & all hiding places on their property. * Check your own property that well too. Check all hiding places inside & outside your home. * Look up & check the trees to see if the cat is hiding/stuck in a tree * Contact www.lostmykitty.com. They will alert all the vets in your area * Put out a humane trap by your house. If setting up in the bushes, conceal it with branches and cover the flooring with natural ground cover. If setting up on a deck use a familiar towel to cover the trap and use newspaper or towel as flooring. Please always make sure tripping mechanism and doors work properly. * Leave a small trail of catnip leading to crate or humane trap * Go outside after dark & shake food/treat container & softly call the cats name * Go in person to local pound to see of they have your cat. (Don't call, go in person) * Expand the radius of posters if no sightings *Please feel free to ask for advice if you need Assistance NEVER GIVE UP
