Missing Cat Hi neighbors! Hoping some one has seen our kitty girl Mel. She is an indoor/outdoor cat and is a very skilled hunter. Mel is spayed, and has disappeared for a day or two before and always returned. This time it’s been 4/5 days and we are growing concerned. I’m thinking maybe the rain has got her confused. We went camping with the family last week and a family member was looking after our pets. Unfortunately the day before we came back home, she never returned after being out. That would be Saturday evening of August 29th. Sunday the 30th when we returned we did not see her and she didn’t come to our calls. Monday morning my daughter swears she saw her sleeping on our deck, but none of the cameras picked her up,so it could’ve been a neighborhood cat as well. She is a very friendly girl in loves human interaction. If anyone of our neighbors have seen her, we would love to have her back home. She recently lost her collar and is not chipped. But she is still very much wanted and loved😭 The kids are heartbroken, my husband and I are holding out for hope but becoming increasingly more worried. We’re off Macleay rd, right by Rippling Brook rd.  I’m hoping she’s just hunkered down somewhere while the rain is going on. Please let me know if you have seen her! -Female tortoiseshell. -3 years old. -Spayed. -Goes by the names :Mel, Mellie, Mel-Mel, Carmel,Caramellie. -last seen Saturday August 29th, Macleay area.

Check in bushes and under cars near your home, and on the next street over, especially in the evening with a flashlight, calling out to him and making a familiar sound. Ask neighbors if they might have seen him, and when they last did and which direction he headed if they have. If they have security cameras, video footage would help. Ask them if he might be trapped in their garage or shed. I hope he is found soon🙏🏻

General Information: Set up a scent station. Hang clothes with your scent on it (Worn clothing from owner) high up outside so the familiar scent can travel and guide the cat back home. NO CAT BOX OR FOOD. Ask your neighbors to check their yard/could be accidently stuck in their garage or shed. (If applicable) Check doorbell or home camera - or ask neighbors to check their camera. Post Fliers with a picture of the cat and your contact information in the area the cat went missing. Not everyone is on Social Media and posters have worked in that if spotted a location can be provided. If a cat is scared they make themselves safe by finding a good hiding spot and often times hide in silence. Look in bushes - bring a flashlight and look for shining eyes. Best time to find your cat is in the early morning hours when the noise level is low and they feel safe. Leave an access point open for the cat to return. This is important if they do come back in the middle of the night. Prayers your cat returns/ or is found safely. Beware of scammers.
