Jennifer Grier Phillips I apologize for not responding sooner - FB only just today told me that you responded 🙄😞 Thank you for having him neutered and microchipped ❤️ Be sure to contact the chip company and tell them that he's missing. Also make sure your contact info is up-to-date on their website. Some of this advice might be a little outdated, but I'll say it anyway. If you haven't already, put up flyers all over the neighborhood as many people aren't on social media. Give flyers to every vet clinic, rescue, and shelter in the area in case he turns up. Ask your neighbors to check their cameras, garages, sheds, and crawlspaces. Ask all of them if they had any visitors or contractors doing work on their houses around the time he went missing. If so, call the visitors and businesses and ask them if they had an accidental stowaway. Look up in trees in case he was chased coming home. Walk the entire neighborhood in the wee hours with a flashlight and look for glowing eyes. Call him in a regular voice (not panicked) and gently shake a treat bag if he likes that kind of stuff. If he's injured or scared, he's probably hunkered down and hiding, but he may not answer you when you call. That's just instinctual, as a vocal cat gives away their location to predators, and an injured cat is prey. Put his beds/ blankets and some of your dirty clothes on your porches and around the perimeter of your yard. When he comes home, you might consider building or buying a catio (some people have bought pre-made chicken coops and "attached" them to their houses with kitty access through a window); or, if you have a fenced-in yard, consider putting up cat-fencing or coyote rollers on top of the fence to keep him safely in your yard (both can be DIY). Good luck, and don't give up hope ❤️

Deborah Brownthis is not funny. Read the room- not the right place for these kind of posts.

Jennifer Grier Phillips don’t give up! A friends cat was missing 3 weeks. She ended up using one of the missing pet locators and they put out a baited trap and caught him.

Put out some worn clothing on your porch. Notify all your neighbors he is missing and ask them to check under their decks, house and in their garage and any outbuildings they might have. Put up flyers with his picture and your phone number around your neighborhood. Flyers work. Lots of people have found their cats because neighbors saw their flyers. You might also want to go out and look after dark with a flashlight. They typically don’t stray too far from home.

He is neutered, microchipped. He’s an indoor/outdoor cat. Mostly indoors but lately he was going out more b/c of the nice weather. He typically visits with our neighbors. No one has seen him since 4/22

Is he neutered? Microchipped? Indoor only, or indoor/outdoor?
