Please file a missing cat report with Virginia Beach animal control. If the cat is chipped, make sure that the registry has your current contact information. Visit the shelter several times a week. Tonight after 10 PM go out of new yard with a bag of kitty treats and a flashlight, walk around the yard calling your cat’s name and shake the kitty treats bag. Look in the bushes with the flashlight to see if you see your cat. Print flyers with your cat picture and your contact information and take them around to your neighbors, ask them to call you if they see your cat. Also ask them if they’ve been in their shed outbuilding or garage. Cats go in those places to hide and when the door gets closed, they can’t get out. You cannot hear cat crying to get out of a structure unless you’re standing right beside it. Look under porches, decks, and any structure with an open crawlspace.
