Not knowing your kitty's outdoor experience, here are tips for both strictly indoor cats and cats with outdoor experience: FOR INDOOR CATS WITH OUTDOOR ACCESS - A search is needed as it could be trapped or injured somewhere in its territory which is about a 1,000 foot radius around your house. Search garages, sheds, up trees or roofs, houses, or injured on roadside. For those not on social media and who live in kitty's territory, knock on doors and post laminated, readable fliers with LOST, photo and phone number on Stop signs in a 1,000 foot radius around your house. Find people who feed cats as they might have seen it. FOR STRICTLY INDOOR CAT - it will be fairly close by and will want to come back inside (though they have been known to wander up to500 feet/9 houses away). So, leave door or window it escaped from cracked open or use garage door. If it is a window, place a box below it s he can get back inside. Contain other pets in another room. They typically return at night in the safety of darkness. If this wasn't done in the first 4 days, it might have gone off searching for food.
