Calico cat, black + orange top coat but white belly

This calico cat was found in our backyard as she got into a fight with another stray cat. Thinking she got hurt, we fed her and immediately gained her trust. We were able to get her to the vet to find out that she is microchipped and discovered her name is Homegirl, and 6 years old! Unfortunately, the number associated with her chip - the vet contacted them, but they relayed to us that the person responded and explained that they were not the original owners? They knew the original owner, but had no more contact with them and had no idea if they would want their cat back or not… with that statement, I speculated that this was possibly a previous couple adopting that are now separated? Either way, wanting to get this sweet girl reunited with the original owner if they are interested in having her - she is so incredibly friendly and loves her outside time!
