Notify Nebraska Humane Society right away. File a lost report. Post on Lost Pets of Omaha Area for more readers and services. Glad Ultra is microchipped. Put owner’s dirty clothes in yard and in garage with water and bed. Leave door open enough cat can get in. Search in, under, behind every place cat could be hiding, stuck or hurt. Ask neighbors for permission to search on their property….sheds, garages, decks, trees, bushes, window wells, flower beds, empty containers, boxes, etc. After dark, search with flashlights so you can see eyes shine. Be sure to check storm drain/street gutters in area. Cats often hide there for safety and shelter. Walk area where cat was lost with water and favorite food/ treats or try tuna or sardines. Call cat’s name in calm, friendly voice as you search.
