Male gray cat with yellow eyes. Scared outside but very friendly once inside for a minute

Saw this cat looking very scared sitting on the stairwell (refusing to move from his spot) for 45 mins to an hour before I picked him up. He was obviously scared but was otherwise friendly. Didn’t hiss and was very friendly once inside. No collar but looks like fur around his neck has the imprint from a collar. Looks well groomed and fed.

FINDER, you can email animalcontrol@frederickcountymd.gov with photo, location and phone number. Any vet can scan for a microchip. Care can scan and hold for transfer to the shelter if you can't hold onto the cat yourself. Thanks for helping this kitty!
