Thelma's Owner Says

Thank you everyone for all of your help, alerts, tips, and support! ❤️ 🥹🐾 She was found safe in a neighboring basement. They believe she got in during the storm and was unexpectedly trapped when the door/window she entered through was closed. Thank God and the powers that be that she was found and released when she was. We are beyond grateful to have our girl home! ❤️🏡🐱

I'm sorry, go outside around 2am with a can of tuna fish and hopefully your kitty will be close and smell the food and come home, take a flashlight with you... put a friendly trap outside with tuna or canned food and a piece of your clothing on the trap that has your scent on it, good luck

You might try a live trap, they are fairly cheap on amazon, my Jane wanted to come back but was too overwhelmed and scared, she had made a home under a backyard shed across the street and wouldnt let anyone near her. I saw she kept coming around the doors at night and if i didnt have other pets, i would have left the door cracked and that may have solved it. Eventually she was found eating hamburger in the trap on my front porch and all was right again. It took about 3 weeks for her to show up and i did have to release squirrels and possums along the way which were easy. Tuna in oil also makes a lot of scent. Make sure there's water too. If its cold out, wrap the trap in a blanket and make sure to check it often, check it often no matter what the weather is. In fact, best to keep a camera on it. I believe in Jane's case, the live trap was her only chance. Best of luck and a swift resolve for you I hopeYou might try a live trap, they are fairly cheap on amazon, my Jane wanted to come back but was too overwhelmed and scared, she had made a home under a backyard shed across the street and wouldnt let anyone near her.
