Please bring him home to me, he's been with me through the hardest parts of my life and I dont know if I'll be able to live without him.

Kathy Lock I've already done all of these things and contacted who I adopted him from as well. I have flyers posted all over my neighborhood + neighboring ones. We live with dense forest nearby and we have coyotes as well as other predators. He has been missing since around 10:50 PM EST 05/22/2026. I have called every shelter in the area thats currently open and jm doing my best to bring my sweet boy home. Thank you so much for the advice

Post a missing cat report with the Chesapeake animal shelter. If this kitty is chipped, make sure the registry has your current contact information. Print flyers with your cat picture and your contact information and take around to your neighbors. Ask them if they’ve been in their shed garage or outbuilding since your cat went missing. Cats will go hide in these places. You cannot hear a cat trying to get out of one of these structures, unless you’re standing right next to it. Tonight after 10 PM, go out under your yard with a bag of kitty treats and a flashlight. Walk around your yard calling your cat name and shaking the kitty treats bag. Look in the bushes to see if you see your cat. Going out after dark is important because cats feel safer in the dark.
