So sorry to hear about your lost kitty. Please be proactive by going out and calling your cat. Call loudly and repeatedly. This is especially important with indoor only cats, because they are scared and they will be happy to hear your voice. Keep calling. Your cat may be up a tree, on someone’s roof, in a garage or storage shed. Calling loudly is important, because if they’re in someone’s backyard and asleep under a bush, it may take time for them to wake up, recognize your voice and respond. Call loudly, stop and listen, and call again and again. This method has been successful for me in the past on the few occasions when an indoor cat got out. Also, make posters/signs with a large color photo, the word, “LOST,” and your phone #. Avoid extra wording. With these signs, less is more. Persistence is the key. I told myself that I was not going to sleep until I found my cat. 🐈 Good luck. I hope you find your ‘family member’ soon.
