Boy that is probably one of the first Basset hounds I’ve seen since moving to Houston 10 years ago. Used to see them quite often up in Minnesota. I would have to believe that he/she is owned by someone.

April Compton Washburn he has been posted on several Facebook pages and Nextdoor and I’m taking him to get checked for a chip in the morning, and also taking him by the vet in the neighborhood he was found in.

Just suggestions to possibly help find the owners: Please check for a chip. Any vet or petco should be able to do this for free. Have them scan the whole body as chips can move. Check/post on next door app. Check post on pawboost, lost & found pets of Cypress. I know you posted on the fb page, just checking if you looked through them to see if anyone has posted already looking for them. You might also try walking them in the area you found them to see if they lead you to their home. If possible can you put up posters and/or knock on doors near where they were found for people not on social media. You can also check area vets to see if they know the dog, anyone has come looking for it, or if you can put up a flyer there. Make sure anyone claiming to be the owner has proof (pictures/vet bills/etc) Thank you so much for keeping them safe and trying to find the owners.
