White cat with black spots, he has a black tail and a black patch at the back of his back left leg. He also has some marks from cat fights.

Message from Owner

Patches went missing last week on Tuesday June 16. We miss him dearly and we’ve been looking for him any chance we get. He is not from Ottawa, his home is in Rockland. If there is any white and black cat sighting please snap a photo if possible and call

He might also make his own way home. Some cats disappear for long perods of time, but usually find their way home. Our old Tom would disappear for any where from 3 - 8 weeks. He always knew where he lived. Maybe making him an "indoor cat" might be the answer. It certainly is the safest choice!

If this is an indoor only cat that never goes out, look close. Indoor only cats when lost get scared and hide because it is unknown territory and usually do not come out when you call. Usually are within 3 or 4 houses . Put out something with your scent such as a piece of clothing or blanket. Call at dusk, dawn and night and shake the treats. Get in your neighbour's yards and look under decks, sheds, in trees, bushes or anywhere they can hide. Put up lots of posters. Maddie Lavier I don’t think he would be that far, he escaped owner from Montreal road vet, he was seen on camera on Elmridge in beacon hill . But you never know

Checking neighbors backyard properties is crucial. (Neighbors will not check as thoroughly as you will, or at all, so ask them if you can check) Indoor cats will hide quickly after getting outside. Check under bushes and remember, when afraid, they won’t respond to you calling them. Someone in my area had their cat get out and she found him 3 and a half weeks later only 4 houses away hiding in a backyard under patio furniture. The only reason he was detected was because the lady who lived there happened to look out her window and see him under the table in the backyard and recalled seeing the lost cat notice on our community FB page. -put out (unwashed) cat bed/blankets/your clothes that smell of home -put up posters in your area- important-not everyone is on facebook + if someone sees your cat but cannot find your lost cat post -leave a basement window or garage door open enough they can get in.
