Message from Owner

We lost our family cat near evening sky dr and Yosemite Ave by the big oak tree and trail yesterday (July 16th). We spent hours trying to find him and we were unsuccessful. Please please let us know if you see him, he is so deeply missed

Is is micro-chipped? You need to physically go into these Animal Shelter’s and see if they picked up your cat. If you try calling them on the phone, they won’t help you, because they’re so overcrowded… your cat can literally be staring right at them, and they wouldn’t recognize the cat! it’s too overcrowded…please, go into the shelters every single day, and put up flyers. The last address is that adoption center, some people pick up a stray, and will drop them off there… so it doesn’t hurt to ask.. Good luck in finding your beautiful cat. 🐾🐾 1. Simi Valley Animal Shelter * Address: 670 W. Los Angeles Ave., Simi Valley, CA 93065 * Phone: (805) 388-4341 * This should be the first place to check since it serves Simi Valley. Lost cats are held while owners have a chance to reclaim them. 2. West Valley Animal Shelter * Address: 20655 Plummer St., Chatsworth, CA 91311 * Phone: (888) 452-7381 3. Agoura Animal Care Center * Address: 29525 Agoura Rd., Agoura Hills, CA 91301 * Phone: (818) 991-0071 4. Purrmaid Cafe & Adoption Center * Address: 5800 Santa Rosa Rd., Suite 142, Camarillo, CA 93012 * Phone: (805) 419-6116 * While it’s an adoption center rather than a municipal shelter, it’s worth asking if someone has brought the cat there.

General Information: Set up a scent station. Hang clothes with your scent on it (Worn clothing from owner) high up outside so the familiar scent can travel and guide the cat back home. NO LITTER BOX OR FOOD. Ask your neighbors to check their yard/could be accidently stuck in their garage or shed. (If applicable) Check doorbell or home camera - or ask neighbors to check their camera. Post Fliers with a picture of the cat and your contact information in the area the cat went missing. Not everyone is on Social Media and posters have worked in that if spotted a location can be provided. If a cat is scared they make themselves safe by finding a good hiding spot and often times hide in silence. Look in bushes - bring a flashlight and look for shining eyes. Best time to find your cat is in the early morning hours when the noise level is low and they feel safe. Leave an access point open for the cat to return. This is important if they do come back in the middle of the night. Prayers your cat returns/ or is found safely. Beware of scammers.
