in addition to creating a scent station in the shape of a wagon wheel, place one article or your slept-on pillowcase up high where the breeze will carry your scent. a dog's sense of smell is exceptionally powerful and can smell their owner's scent from up to 10 mi under ideal conditions. leave the gate, door or garage slightly open in case she finds her way home. and bring in any food you've left out for her by nightfall. leaving it out will only attract predators
