*Since your dog is not familiar with the area that he went missing it’s very important in the search for your dog to put up neon lost dog signs in the area that they went missing as soon as possible. Someone may see your dog and not know how to contact you. Plus not everyone is on a social media pet site. *Please notify the local county animal shelter that your dog is missing in case someone finds them. Please be sure to check the animal shelter IN PERSON frequently. *Suggest putting out worn/dirty clothes with your scent in the area that you last saw your dog to lure him back to the area. Suggest setting up a trail camera so you can monitor if he returns to the area at which point you can then set up a humane trap which is like a kennel with a spring door. *Suggest asking local neighbors/businesses to check their Ring cameras for any sightings *If your dog is microchipped, please notify the microchip company that your dog is missing and also check to be sure your contact info is current. If it’s with Save the Life please be advised this company went out of business 1/2025 and your dog’s microchip is now unregistered. *Recommend posting on NextDoor **PLEASE be aware of scammers asking for $ to return your dog !! Hope your dog is found soon. 🤞🏻🐾
