I would recommend letting Mission Viejo animal shelter know as well. That would be the first place I would look is the shelters.

Thank you for helping this lost fur baby and keeping safe. Here’s some guidance steps of additional things to do: IF YOU FIND A DOG Post the dog on local lost/found FB pages and neighborhood apps. such as on http://nextdoor.com • Take to a local vet to be scanned for a microchip check or ask if anyone can scan the dog (many animal rescuers have their own scanner). • Hang “Found” signs in the neighborhood as not everyone is on social media • Contact your local shelter to file a found report (THIS IS A MUST). • If possible, continue to foster the lost dog until an owner can be found and proof provided it’s their pet.
